Everything you need to turn Salesforce data into documents

Docable covers the whole lifecycle — modelling the data, authoring the template, generating the file and governing the process. All of it native.

Model

A governed data layer for every document

Admins define what a document process can see — once — and every template built on it inherits the rules.

Visual data model builder

Point and click through objects, fields and relationships. No SOQL, no code — the model is the query.

Parent, child & grandparent paths

Merge from the base record, up through lookups, down through related lists — and across multiple levels in one model.

Filtered collections

Split one child relationship into purpose-built views — open cases vs. closed, active products vs. lapsed — each with its own filters and sort order.

Aggregates

SUM, COUNT, AVG, MIN and MAX over child collections, calculated at generation time and formatted like any other value.

Condition builder

Define named conditions on your data — discount present, contract type, region — and use them to switch content on or off in any template.

Content images

Bring in images from Salesforce Files, static resources or signature fields, with admin-controlled sizing and per-record resolution.

Author

Templates live in Word, not in a black box

Business users keep the tool they already know. Docable supplies the tags, the guardrails and the preview.

Approved merge tags

Every data model publishes a clean, searchable tag catalogue. Copy a tag, paste it into Word, done.

Real Word documents

Headers, footers, tables, styles, branding — if Word can do it, your template can. No proprietary editor to learn.

Validation before activation

Docable checks every tag against the data model before a template can be activated. Broken templates stay off and tell you exactly what to fix.

Real-record preview

Generate a sample against a real record — as Word or PDF — before anyone else ever sees the template.

Formatting control

Global defaults plus per-tag overrides for dates, numbers and currencies. Set it centrally, override it surgically.

Document language

Set a language per template so locale-sensitive values — like month names — generate correctly for the audience.

Generate

One click for users, full control for automation

However your team works — record pages, list views, Flows or portals — generation meets them there.

On-record generation

Users generate from the records they're already on, choosing Word or PDF at runtime. The file saves back to the record.

Bulk generation

Select many records and generate a document per record in one run — queued, rendered server-side on platform, and saved automatically.

Screen Flow component

Drop the Docable runner into any Screen Flow: auto-generate on screen entry, control download and preview behaviour, and pass generated file IDs to downstream elements.

PDF combining

Merge generated and existing PDFs into a single ordered file inside Flow — ideal for packs, appendices and signed attachments.

Experience Cloud ready

Run Flow-hosted generation in your customer and partner portals, under the runtime user's sharing context.

Salesforce Files output

Every generated document is a Salesforce File on the right record — versioned, shareable, reportable and inside your retention policies.

Govern & deploy

Built like the rest of your org

Templates and data models are metadata-backed assets you can stage, review and promote — not artwork trapped in a vendor portal.

Template packs

Export selected templates — config, documents and data model references — as a versioned ZIP pack. Import with per-template create/update/skip review.

Sandbox-to-production flow

Build and test in a sandbox, then promote with packs and scoped deployment manifests instead of rebuilding by hand.

Packaged permission sets

Clear admin and end-user permission sets define exactly who configures, who authors and who generates.

Template lifecycle

Templates are records with state — drafts stay inactive, validation gates activation, and document versions are tracked in Salesforce Files history.

Merge tag review

See every tag a template uses and how it maps to the data model — an audit trail for what a document can actually say.

Zero external dependencies

No connectors to babysit, no rendering API keys to rotate, no vendor cloud in your data path. The package is the product.

Flow data sources

Data Cloud & external data, through Flow

Documents don't always stop at CRM data. Add a Flow data source to a data model: map the Flow's inputs from the model, and Docable runs it at generation time — the Flow's outputs come back as merge tags, ready to drop into the template like any other field.

If a Flow can reach it — Salesforce Data Cloud, an external system, a gnarly calculation — Docable can merge it into the document.

See your own document generated

The fastest way to evaluate Docable is with one of your real documents. Send us a template you generate today and we'll show it running natively in a demo org.

No per-user fees. No per-document fees. Installs straight into your org.
